Keto Bagel



Recipe Makes 4 bagels
Servings: 8

If used as a side to another recipe or snack then 1 serving = half a bagel with 1 tbsp cream cheese.

Bagel Dough Ingredients:
1 cup full fat shredded cheese  (fiesta/mexican blend cheese is higher fat)
4 tbsp full fat cream cheese
1 cup almond flour
1 whole egg
1 tbsp baking powder

2 tsp sesame seeds in dough or on top (optional)

Bagel Dough Directions:

  1.  Measure out shredded cheese and cream cheese into microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute.
  2.  Take out, mix around and microwave for additional 20 seconds then scoop out cheese mixture into food processor/blender.
  3. Crack 1 whole egg into mixture, then add in dry ingredients and blend until smooth dough forms.
  4. Scrap out dough into bowl and place in freezer while oven heats up to 400 F. 
  5. Layout parchmet paper on baking sheet, take dough out of freezer and divide into 4 equal parts. Roll out dough or form into desired shape, place on baking sheet and in oven for 15 mins or till lightly brown on top.
  6. Take out of oven, let cool before cutting bagel in half and adding cream cheese. I also enjoy toasting 1 half of the bagel, then add cream cheese.
