Chorizo Burgers (Protein Style)



Servings: 2   (1 for Dinner 1 for Lunch)

Ingredients:

6 oz. ground beef
6 oz Chorizo (mexican sausage in the little squeeze tube)
4 large Romaine leaves
2 slices of large tomato
2 slices of onion
sliced dill pickles
1 ripe avocado, thinly sliced

Directions:

1. Add ground beef and chorizo into a bowl, mix together with hands and shape into
2 patties that will be the right size to fit in the romaine leaves. Refrigerate the
patties for 20 minutes, which will help keep their shape and size as they're
cooking.

2. Heat a large, heavy skillet over medium high heat and cook the burgers for about
2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from the pan and set aside.

3. Each Chorizo Burger assembled should have: 2 Romaine leaves, 1 beef chorizo
patty, 1 slice tomato, 1 slice onion, 1-2 slices pickle,1/2 sliced avocado. 

4. a tsp/quarter size addition on top of burger of mayo,mustard or any sauce with 0 calorie or less than 1g carb per tsp is fine.
